Patient Ambassador is an intricate member to the oncology team functioning as a member of the cancer center staff The Patient Ambassador will be focused on customer service assuring all patients and visitors are welcomed into the center and receive the hospitality needed in order to meet their needsResponsibilitiesGreet and guide patients caregivers and visitors in the cancer center and medical office building throughout the day as well as during off hours and during evening eventsActs as a resource for the departments in the cancer center assisting in coordinating the workflow for the patients vendors and service staffActs as an advocate and liaison for patients and visitors at the time of arrival by greeting guests in a prompt caring and courteous manner providing directions or escorting guests to requested areas of the hospitalAssesses and facilitates appropriate services for the special needs of our patients caregivers and visitorsActs as a resource for the volunteers in the cancer centerProvides information about programs and services offered at the cancer center and in supporting the ancillary departmentsAssist in the execution of onsite evening events including coordination of the conference room schedule setup of tables and chairs in the and clean up after meetings and conferencesThe patient ambassador will be responsible for distributing materials greeting and tracking visitors as well as answering questions about the facilityResponsible for opening the cancer center at the beginning of each day as well asor securing building and final walkthrough of
