ResponsibilitiesThe Patient Account Specialist is accountable for the billing and follow up of professional claims in an accurate and timely manner to expedite patient and third party payments in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Maintains and resolves an assigned group of patient accounts receivables to reduce outstanding balances and process refunds when identified. Additional responsibilities include, regular communication with the clinical operations team, to ensure all regulatory billing requirements are met.
Qualifications Education• High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required• Associate's Degree in Accounting, Office Management or related field preferred Experience• 2 years of billing and accounts receivable follow up experience in a healthcare business office required• Professional billing (PB) experience preferred Disclaimers• Pay ranges listed are an estimate and subject to change.
