Patient Access Tech - Volvo Parkway
My client, a reputable healthcare company, is hiring for a Patient Access Technician with competitive pay and growth opportunity! Job Description: + Under direction of departmental leadership, the Patient Access Technician provides clerical and secretarial support for the patient care team and serves as a patient liaison for medical support services. + Greets, instructs, directs and assists patients and visitors upon arrival to the service area. + Facilitates the revenue cycle process to include but not limited to patient registration, insurance verification to confirm active policy, co-payment collection, authorization data entry and billing inquiry functions. + Responsible for accurate data collection, documentation, and data retrieval with computerized systems. + Works collaboratively with various departments on patient access related information. + Conducts pre-registration and insurance verification. + Provides coverage to assigned registration locations including those outside of primary work location or by task assignment based on operational needs. + This role is alot of customer service- they are greeting patients coming through the door, entering demographic information into their Registration system which is Eclipses (Allscripts system), collecting insurance card/scanning into their EMR which is PowerCharts, verifying insurance, collecting co-payments. + Registration - patients come in verify insurance, collect ids, information, etc. + One doing quick book - Answer the phones and greet any patient that comes through. will start the registration and get them on the board so the nurse knows they are here because the wait times are so long. This way the clinical team knows what is going on in the back + Others are doing full registration - verifying all information, verifying insurance, getting up to date demographic information, collecting co-payments, getting up to date paperwork Qualifications to Apply: + Strong customer service + Critical thinking + Showing initiative + Medical terminology is helpful + Strong computer skills + Ability to multi task + Really need someone who is reliable and can work the shift APPLY NOW!!!!
