Patient Access Supervisor

Job Description:This position provides leadership and support to patient access staff in designated department(s). Assists manager in maintaining optimal staffing models based on volumes and monitors quality and productivity. Exhibits and promotes the Essentia Health customer service philosophy to ensure patients and visitors receive exceptional service. Provides feedback and coaching to staff as necessary and assists with the development of training programs.

Key Responsibilities:

Provides information to, and maintains relationships with external and internal providers, nursing staff, operation managers, front office staff, and customers to provide coordinated servicesStays current with clinical, provider, registration and scheduling information related to the serviced departmentsAssists in maintaining scheduling protocols for many different Essentia Health departmentsAssists in monitoring all work queues to ensure timely and quality patient care

Educational Requirements:

Associate's degree required within two years of hire or transfer date

OR

Bachelor's degree required within four years of hire or transfer date ​

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous leadership experience
