Description Job Title: Patient Access Specialist (EPIC PB/EMR Expert | Hybrid) Location: Hybrid (Onsite & Remote) Schedule: Full-Time | Monday – Friday Department: Revenue Cycle / Patient Access Position Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Specialist with a proven track record in both professional provider and hospital-based registration workflows, with deep expertise in Epic PB and overall EMR proficiency. This role is vital to supporting patient engagement, financial accuracy, and provider collaboration across the care continuum. You’ll thrive here if you are detail-oriented, own your work queues, and are motivated to solve problems before they become delays. Key Responsibilities + Hybrid Patient Registration: Accurately collect and verify patient demographics, insurance, and authorizations for both professional and hospital visits in a hybrid setting (in-person and remote). + Epic Proficiency: Operate with deep working knowledge of Epic PB (Professional Billing) and associated EMR workflows, including registration, eligibility, appointment workflows, and coverage validation. + Work Queue Management: Own your Epic work queues—identify discrepancies, research root causes, resolve issues independently, and escalate when needed to ensure timely billing and payment posting. + Provider Communication: Act as a liaison between patients, providers, and billing departments—ensuring a seamless, communicative experience throughout the care cycle. + Coding & Documentation: Collaborate with clinical and coding teams to verify visit types, provider coding, and necessary documentation for billing accuracy. + Payment Posting Support: Support payment posting and reconciliation efforts through strong understanding of payer requirements, authorization status, and patient responsibility tracking. + Implementation Participation: Contribute to process improvement and implementation projects involving new registration workflows, EMR updates, and provider onboarding. + Compliance & Confidentiality: Maintain full compliance with HIPAA regulations and internal privacy/security standards. post or for internal HR/ATS formatting. Requirements What You Bring + 2–4+ years experience in patient access, billing, or revenue cycle roles, preferably across both provider and hospital settings + Epic Certification or Super-User status in Epic PB strongly preferred + Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with both clinical and administrative teams + Familiarity with CPT/ICD-10 coding and payer authorization processes + Experience with charge review workflows is a plus + Excellent communication and customer service skills—proven ability to de-escalate issues and educate patients + High attention to detail and ownership mentality—you take initiative, follow through, and proactively solve problems + Ability to adapt to hybrid work environments with consistent productivity Perks & Benefits + Competitive compensation based on experience + Hybrid schedule with flexibility after training + Opportunities for growth within a collaborative team Ready to own your workflow and make an impact from Day 1?
