Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Patient Access Director, the Patient Access Manager is responsible for the overall management and coordination of the Emergency Department (ED) and Outpatient Patient Access Staff. This role ensures that patient access processes are executed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards and best practices. The Patient Access Manager will oversee daily operations, staffing, and performance management to enhance patient satisfaction, optimize workflows, and support the financial objectives of the hospital.

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field preferred. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in patient access, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Experience in ED and Outpatient settings is highly preferred. Requirements: Must be able to read, write and communicate in English while performing the job duties. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement process improvements. Proficiency in patient access systems and software. Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards. Licenses/Certifications: None Other: Primarily works in a hospital environment with frequent patient interaction with patients, staff and clinical departments.
