Patient Access and Policy Intern

The Position

We are seeking a proactive and inquisitive intern to join our Patient Access and Policy team. This is a unique opportunity for a master's student or a final-year undergraduate student to explore the critical intersection of healthcare policy, patient access, and business strategy within the pharmaceutical industry. You will support the team in developing and implementing strategies that help shape the healthcare environment in Singapore, ensuring innovative medicines reach the patients who need them most.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities may include but not be limited to:

Policy and Stakeholder Research: Conduct in-depth research and analysis on key healthcare policies, stakeholder mapping and profiling, and emerging trends within the Singaporean healthcare landscape. Your findings will directly inform the team's strategies for engaging with government bodies, patient advocacy groups, and payers.

Access Strategy Support: Assist in developing and refining key market access deliverables, including value dossiers, pricing analyses, and patient support programs. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the creation of compelling value narratives that demonstrate the full value of our innovative products.

Administrative and Project Support: Provide administrative and project-based support for ongoing initiatives including partnerships with patient advocacy groups, helping to track progress and ensure timely delivery of project milestones.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Participate in team meetings and discussions, offering insights and gaining exposure to how different functions—like medical affairs, commercial, regulatory, and access - work together to achieve shared outcomes.

Representation and Communication: Help prepare briefs and materials for internal and external meetings and support selected communication initiatives for our disease areas.

Qualifications:

Currently pursuing a Master's or in the final year of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as public policy, health economics, life sciences, business, or political science

Previous internship or work experience in a related field is a plus

Competencies & mindsets: 

A keen interest in healthcare policy and patient access, with a foundational understanding of the Singaporean healthcare system.

Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize and present complex information clearly and concisely.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

A collaborative and entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to learn quickly and adapt to new challenges.

Fluent in English. Fluency in other local languages (Mandarin, Malay, Hindi) is a plus.
