UPMC Health Plan is looking to hire a Contract Recruitment Specialist to join our Pathways to Work team!

Are you interested in helping jobseekers in the greater Williamsport area? The UPMC Health Plan is seeking a specialist to support the Pathways to Work team. The Pathways to Work Team uses a personal approach to connect individuals who are unemployed, underemployed, or who have barriers to work with career opportunities at UPMC and UPMC Health Plan. The Pathways to Work Specialist is responsible for performing all outreach, follow up and support activities to the Pathways to Work team. This includes frequent phone call and email communication, as well as attending events and meetings related to the community outreach mission of UPMC Pathways to Work. 

Responsibilities:

Conduct employment screening interviews for Pathways to Work candidates and provide feedback to candidates regarding resources to assist in overcoming barriers to work. Participate in meetings with UPMC Staff, Community Partners and other stakeholders. Attend events and visit community organizations to build relationships with our community partners. Advise and instruct all stakeholders on progress with Pathways initiatives. Facilitate referral system and work within UPMC Systems to gain information about Pathways to Work candidates and referrals. Maintain confidentiality of all information received within the guidelines of professional recruitment in compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Represent UPMC at external and internal functions (i.e., job fairs, UPMC HS sponsored events, etc.), provide the public with information about UPMC and career opportunities. Formulate testimonial stories and other marketing materials to promote the program. Review and evaluate candidate applications and/or resume in terms of related experience, education and skill rejecting those not meeting the minimum qualifications on the approved job description. Willingness and ability to work in the field in a regional capacity at least 25% of the time. Ability to work independently in a virtual setting.
