Waldorf Astoria is looking for a Pastry Chef de Partie to join this gorgeous Atlanta property!
\nLocated in one of Atlanta's most prestigious neighborhoods, this 42-story tower has over 200 rooms (127 guest rooms plus residences), over 10,000 square feet of meeting space, and 3 food and beverage outlets. This includes the 3-meal restaurant, bar, and in-room dining.
\n· Classification: Full-Time
\n· Shift: Various - must have the flexibility to work hours to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation
\nIn this role, you will report directly to the Banquet Sous Chef and Executive Chef.
\nThe ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
\n\nMinimum of two (2) years supervisory experience in the culinary department, culinary degree or equivalent experience in hotel or restaurant\nGood knowledge of Gastronomy and passion for cooking \nAbility to handle service, stay organized, and follow recipes\nAbility to work a busy station, cooking in bulk with high quality\nQuick learner with a desire to experience all the stations and cuisines.\nAbility to work within the guidelines of the company’s safety program and transfer the knowledge to Team Members \nQuality driven with a passion for excellence\nApproachable, open-minded and fair\nHigh energy and team player\n\nIt would be advantageous to have the following:

What will I be doing?
As Banquet Chef de Partie, you would be responsible for preparing, seasoning, cooking and testing food items in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
\n\nSupport Company’s philosophy and company culture\nResponsible for all aspects of quality control, supervision and production for their area.\nAct as a team player helping wherever needed.\nPrepare foods as outlined in the Banquet Event Orders.\nClean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils.\nMaintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.\nEnsure compliance with federal, state, local and company health, safety, sanitation standards\nMeasure ingredients required for specific food items being prepared.\nOperate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat fryers, or griddles.\nVerify that prepared food meets requirements for quality and quantity.\nWash, cut, and prepare foods designated for cooking.\nClean, stock, and restock workstations.\nFind ways to improve efficiency in the operation\nStrive for perfection, 100% guest satisfaction\nAssist outlet line with coverage when low volume in banquet\nAssist with outlet food ordering\nOther duties as assigned \nWhat are we looking for?
