**This position is located at Central Office in St. Paul and may have the flexibility to telework, work a hybrid schedule, or work in the office. The incumbent will be required to make a telework arrangement with their supervisor. The incumbent will be expected to work in the office as determined by policy and discussion with their supervisor.**
This position serves as the Assistant Passenger Rail Program Manager within the Passenger Rail section of the Office of Freight and Commercial Vehicle Operations. This position is responsible for managing Minnesota’s multifaceted passenger rail projects, which includes assisting with successfully forming the passenger rail program team and strategically cross-agency resourcing, and establishing sound performance measures for the passenger rail program.

**Minimum Qualifications**
Two years of managerial experience, **OR** three years of professional supervisory experience, **OR** four years of advanced professional level experience in rail passenger transportation systems planning, rail infrastructure project development and delivery, rail transportation operations and maintenance.

+ **Technical:** Experience complying with Federal Railroad Administration and/or Federal Transit Administration guidelines and requirements related to: funding agreements, large passenger rail program and project management.
+ **Policy/Fiscal Management:** Experience managing policies and procedures for a complex passenger rail program and experience managing large, complex contracts and budgets associated with the passenger rail program.
+ **Human relations:** Experience supervising staff and establishing relationships with staff, stakeholders, and interest groups. And/or experience leading project team members sufficient to motivate other professionals on projects/work tasks. This also includes proven proficiencies in communication, organization/prioritization and negotiations.
