Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Notice of Result letters will not be sent to applicants who respond to this flyer. Responsibilities You will perform clerical work related to the processing of vehicle, motorcycle, pets, bikes and weapons registrations and/or issuing Department of Defense and providing temporary passes for visitors entering the installation. You will serve as point of contact for Defense Eligibility Enrollment System (DEERS) Identification Card (ID) Program; issue ID Cards to all eligible and military personnel and other authorized users. You will respond to inquiries concerning ID cards and privileges; operate computer terminal to input and retrieve data from the Real-Time Automated Personnel Identification System (RAPIDS); verify records before ID cards can be issued or processed. You will maintain databases for vehicle registration, privately owned weapons registration, and bicycle registration as well as databases on traffic violation reports and a roster for individuals barred from operating a vehicle on the installation. You will review, process, and issue applications for requests for vehicle registrations; privately owned weapons registration, and bicycle registration. You will process and deregister weapons and vehicles; destroy weapon registration card after individuals have out processed or otherwise process removal of weapons from installation. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-04: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-03 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing clerical work while under supervision related to the processing registrations of weapons, vehicles, etc. and providing temporary passes for visitors entering the installation. GS-05: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Independently performing clerical work related to the processing registrations of weapons, vehicles, etc. and providing temporary passes for visitors entering the installation; knowledge of variety of software programs including but not limited to word processing, database management, spreadsheet, and electronic mail, Defense Eligibility Enrollment System (DEERS) Identification Card (ID) Program, Vehicle Registration systems, Real Time Automated Personnel identification System (RAPIDS). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education Substitution of education for the following experience: GS-04: 2 years above high school GS-05: 4 years above high school (except Reporting Stenographer) Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled.
