This position is contingent upon your ability to maintain/transfer a Secret clearance.
Serco supports the US Army as a prime contractor for their Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2) contract which supports implementing capabilities that enable the service to employ Command Posts (CP) across the operational spectrum. Our team develops, integrates, and maintains modern and mobile solutions for an integrated CP infrastructure.
You will be part of a team that works closely with the customer and other Serco functional area teams to deliver quality systems and associated supporting documentation. The team has been recognized by the Army Customer and the industry for their outstanding contributions to the program.
In this role, you will:
Conduct market research for various parts and materialsPurchase parts and materials adhering to purchasing standards and regulationsConduct and document receipt inspections and coordinate returns as applicableStock accepted parts and materialsDistribute parts and materials to engineering and technician staff per policy and proceduresUpdate and maintain an inventory databaseCreate and maintain a Bill of MaterialsGet to know your recruiter:
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
An active Secret clearanceA high school diploma 2 years of purchasing experienceExperience in data entryKnowledge of MSOffice computer applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)Travel up to 10%
Additional desired experience and skills:
Knowledge of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and/or Government logistics and inventory databases.Knowledge of supply and warehouse operations; preferably within Government or Military operationsKnowledge of Quality Management Systems such as ISO 9001:2015Forklift operator experience is a plus
