Job Description

The Parts Procurement Clerk will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of the plant’s equipment, systems, and machines by managing the research, ordering, receipt, and inventory of necessary parts.

ResponsibilitiesConduct research on parts availability and pricing for inventory replenishment or immediate needs.Establish and maintain accounts along with positive relationships with vendors.Order, receive, store, label, and organize parts inventories.Process electronic purchase orders including submission and recording.Work independently with minimal supervision, ensuring daily work orders and activity reports are accurately completed.Determine parts dispositions as required.Ensure all tasks are completed properly and in a timely manner.Adhere to safety and working rules consistently.Foster positive interactions with co-workers, management, customers, vendors, and employees while maintaining company policies and working rules.Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a quality work environment.Ensure excellent regular full-time attendance to support company objectives.Exercise initiative and judgment in decision-making, aligning with the company’s best interests.Perform other duties as assigned by management.Essential SkillsProficiency in procurement and purchasing processes.Experience with CMMS, ERP, and SAP systems.Strong pricing and data entry skills.Competency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.Effective vendor management and negotiation skills.Experience in order entry and inventory management.Ability to provide administrative support and customer service.Additional Skills & QualificationsKnowledge in supply chain management.Project management experience.Skill in processing vendor invoices and buyer purchasing.Work Environment

The Parts Procurement Clerk will work from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM in a dynamic plant environment, requiring interaction with various stakeholders including vendors and management personnel. The role demands adherence to safety guidelines and encourages maintaining a positive and harmonious work atmosphere.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
