Parts Planner & Analyst

 

The Parts Planner & Analyst is responsible for all long and short term inventory planning functions and the analysis of spare parts turnover for all MCCtec CC & FE related inventory. The position is also responsible for identifying new inventory items, identifying superseded parts and developing a forecasting model using component life data by machine model. Using the MRP/DRP functions of the ERP system establish inventory stock levels, re-stocking levels and strategies for the inventory in Houston and other LUS Branches where MCCtec CC & FE inventory is kept.

Responsibilities Conducts forecast analysis of parts and component demand, prepares reports and advises on feasibility of short to long term strategic plans for special projects and ongoing initiatives that are implemented to achieve the organization's growth, efficiency and profitability objectives. Plans and forecasts future inventory levels based on sales forecast, historical data and current stock levels through the use of MRP/DRP functions within the ERP system. Reviews BOM’s of new machines and identifies new items and superseded items to optimize inventory. Ensures Warehouse Managers and/or Branch Managers are advised of large incoming stock orders. Consults with and advises Warehouse Managers or other responsible warehouse personnel of the requirement to increase/decrease warehouse space allocated for new, existing or superseded items. Analyze and evaluate the planning of parts and inventory levels whilst minimizing stock and maintaining an accurate forecast for ongoing requirements. Monitor freight and shipping costs to ensure that they are minimized. Liaise interdepartmentally with the Service and Workshop to establish parts requirements for campaigns and workshop work/projects. Review and provide weekly ‘stock-out’ report to Spare Parts Manager and other stakeholders and revise inventory quantities and/or ordering procedures as necessary. Potential analysis reporting vs forecast. Maintains a safe work environment and ensures that his/her work space is clean and orderly. Competencies Education and Experience: A Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college and six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of an Inventory or Manufacturing software such as BaaN, Oracle, SAP or equivalent ERP order processing system. Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook; Database software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages. Knowledge of Customs regulations and procedures. Ability to apply concepts of basic math. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Travel to customer or supplier sites either nationally and internationally up to 10% of the time. Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license and passport. Our Offer
