Parts Inventory Collaboration (PIC) Analyst

As a PIC Inventory Analyst, you’ll play a vital role in helping our dealers optimize their inventory strategies and improve parts availability. Through data-driven insights, close collaboration, and impactful projects, you’ll contribute to achieving our service and inventory objectives across the Europe, Africa, and Middle East (EAME) region. You’ll be part of the newly established Dealer Aftermarket Collaboration organization – a multifunctional team aligned around industry and dealer needs, focused on delivering customer-centric solutions and driving aftermarket services growth throughout Caterpillar’s global network. **Your Responsibilities** + Serve as the primary business and system support contact for dealers using the Parts Inventory Collaboration (PIC) platform + Deliver monthly inventory performance analysis packs and provide actionable insights to support dealer inventory reviews + Learn and apply advanced data analysis techniques and inventory management logic + Lead or support projects such as: + Identifying root causes of service loss + Explaining inventory growth + Evaluating alternative stocking policies + Quantifying business impacts of changes in dealer stocking behavior + Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across divisions + Leverage SAS, Power BI, and other analytical tools to extract insights and drive improvements **What You Bring** Required Qualifications: + Bachelor’s or Master's degree (preferably in Supply Chain, Business Analytics, Engineering, or a related field) + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills + Excellent written and verbal communication abilities + Fluent in English & (French or Dutch) + A customer-focused mindset and the ability to work cross-functionally + Ideally 3–5 years of relevant professional experience + Driving license and willingness to travel occasionally (5–10%) Preferred Qualifications: + Proficiency in SAS, Power BI, or other data analytics tools + Understanding of Supply Chain and Inventory Management principles **What’s in It for You?** A dynamic and international work environment with a strong culture of innovation and collaboration + Opportunities for continuous learning and professional growth, including exposure to Six Sigma and advanced analytics + The chance to work on meaningful initiatives that make a real difference for dealers and customers around the world Ready to turn your analytical skills into global impact? Level Working Knowledge: • Creates figures for regular data visualization tasks in an honest and compelling way. • Develops or uses appropriate tools and software, such as Tableau and Data wrapper, to generate different types of data visualization. • Follows established standards and procedures to obtain, aggregate and analyze data for visualization. • Outputs statistical models into charts, graphs and maps to demonstrate outliers, patterns and trends of data. • Employs data visualization in documents or reports to tell informative and compelling stories. **Inventory Management:** Knowledge of processes and methods of inventory management; ability to effectively manage local or distributed inventories of raw materials, work-in-progress and finished goods. Level Working Knowledge: • Follows processes to take stock, release inventory or return into processing; resolves discrepancies. • Tracks inventory information for a specific product group or location. • Works with basic tasks of inventory management for a specific location. • Produces basic inventory management reports for senior staff to reconcile the inventory balances. • Performs the receiving, ticketing, checking in and distributing of inventory items for a specific location.
