Parts Department Assistant (Straight Flight)

Employee will be responsible for assisting in the daily operations of an aircraft repair and modification facility parts department. Our parts department supports 40+ technicians maintaining all types of General Aviation and Corporate Aviation aircraft as well as outside customer and internet sales.

Responsibilities:

Employee will be responsible for generating purchase orders, shipping/receiving, inventory management, establishing reorder points for inventory items, PO/Invoice reconciliation, RFQ’s, data entry, helping to expand outside sales and establishing discounted contracts with suppliers and shippers

Operation of vehicles including forklifts

Ability to lift large boxes

Salary & Benefits:

Starting 5–day work week (Monday – Friday)

Available transition to 4-day work week after training 

Hourly rate – $23-25, depending on experience

Company sponsored health benefits after 60 days

401K available – 4-year vesting period on company matching funds

Personal Time Off (PTO) – 40 hours 1st year accrued monthly

Qualifications You Must Have:

High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 4 or more years of relevant experience

Experience with computer controlled inventory systems.

Excellent written and vocal skills, ability to communicate well.

Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Physical lifting of 50 pounds and ladder usage

Valid driver’s license without alcohol or drug violations in last 36 months 

Qualifications We Prefer:

Preferred experience of 2-4 years previous aviation parts department environment, warehouse experience or equivalent

Familiarity with AvPro or similar aviation maintenance tracking systems

HazMat Training/Certification

Ability to operate a Forklift

Experience with shipping databases, such as FedEx, DHL, UPS

Current Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and clean driving record

Understanding of Shelf Life

Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
