Role Description
Academy Music Group (AMG) is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Partnerships Manager to drive revenue through strategic brand partnerships and sponsorships. This role will focus on identifying and developing partnerships that align with AMG’s brand and enhance the overall experience for our audience across live music venues and events. Focusing on local brands across our nationwide venue network and unique one-off opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of and can demonstrate the sales process, marketing solutions and pitching. We’re looking for someone hands on and proactive who works within music, entertainment or a similar rights holder. Who gets excited about creating new concepts/ideas, can create beautiful documentation to bring them to life and is confident in presenting them to potential partners. We’re looking for a proven track record of pitching and winning campaign level business.
This role sits within the partnerships team at Academy Music Group, focusing on commercial opportunities across our venue estate. This is a new position within the department with a keen focus on local partners, one off activations and digital commercial opportunities. The right candidate will be comfortable with outreach and have the ability to make and nurture new relationships for AMG.
Based predominantly at our head office in Brixton, next to our O2 Academy Brixton venue, however will also be required to work from Live Nation in Farringdon from time to time.
Who you are
Competencies / Skills / Knowledge / Experience
+ Experienced in sales, with a track record of success in a relevant industry (entertainment, sponsorship, events, etc.)
+ Experience in ideation/marketing solutions/creating concepts around activation and/or digital
+ Strong at building documentation and presenting
+ Commercially driven, with a deep understanding of how to build and grow revenue through sponsorships.
+ Experience managing stakeholders at various levels, both internally and externally.
+ Strong knowledge of the entertainment industry, current sponsorship trends, and future opportunities.
+ An understanding of the broader business landscape, including legal, financial, marketing, and operational aspects.
+ Excellent organisational, verbal and written communication and experience dealing with enquiries for a client or partner.
+ Ability to represent the business in their communication.
+ Awareness of the application of new marketing techniques including digital, social media and mobile applications
+ Good working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint

What the role includes
+ Driving new sponsorship revenue for AMG’s venue estate
+ Work with HOD to outline a key sales strategy that aligns with AMG’s growth goals
+ Identify and prospect potential brand partners alongside HOD, regularly updating on progress, revenue, KPIs and building out tracking documentation
+ Adept at building out industry insights and trends, with a keen focus on local trends in areas with venues. Regularly sharing within the department.
+ Use data and insights to refine sales strategies, improve deal structures, and enhance sponsorship performance.
+ Focus on local brand partners, one off opportunities and digital
+ Ideate and create new concepts that leverage AMG assets, venues and events
+ Building visually compelling proposals/decks that follow brand guidelines
+ Pitch/present as required to effectively communicate partnership opportunities and who we are as AMG
+ Negotiate and close sponsorship deals with respective partners, alongside HOD
+ Meet and exceed sales targets and revenue goals through proactive and strategic selling techniques.
+ Collaborative approach with partnerships team and aligning with HOD on direction
+ Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers within partner organisations.
