Part Time Reconciliation Accountant
Description We are looking for a dedicated Part-Time Reconciliation Accountant to join our team in Delta, Ohio. This contract position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the quality and financial systems in a dynamic steel manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will excel in administrative support, reconciliation processes, and customer service while fostering collaboration across departments. Responsibilities: • Collaborate with customer service engineers to ensure claims are accurately completed and documented. • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between customer debits and claims to maintain financial accuracy. • Communicate with customers regarding debits and claims, providing updates and resolving inquiries. • Prepare detailed reports on claims volume, debit adjustments, and overall quality costs. • Support customer service engineers by addressing customer questions and concerns related to claims. • Act as a liaison between sales, finance, and quality teams to provide updates on the status of claims and debits. • Track and manage field rejection notices to ensure accurate documentation. • Reconcile customer debits with approved claims, ensuring consistency and accuracy. • Perform general administrative tasks to support the quality department’s operations. Requirements • Proficiency in computer systems and software applications, including data entry tools, word processing, and spreadsheets. • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address technical issues related to systems and data. • Familiarity with financial systems and processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations. • Excellent teamwork and communication skills to work effectively in a collaborative environment. • Keen attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial and administrative tasks. • Positive attitude and customer service orientation, with the ability to build strong relationships. • Prior experience with journal entries and general ledger processes is preferred. • Ability to perform bank reconciliations and manage financial data with precision.
