Physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, lifting, and positioning of patients. + **Education** : BSN preferred. + **Internship** : Completion of UPMC student nurse internship or student clinical transitions course at UPMC preferred. + **Compensation** : RN rates will be determined by experience/department equity. **Titles and Rates:** + **Professional Staff Nurse** : $33.75 + **Sr. Professional Staff Nurse** (2 Years of Experience): Starts at $37.41 + **Sr. Professional Staff Nurse II** (3 Years of Experience): Starts at $40.47 + **Professional Staff Nurse, Expert** (4 Years of Experience): Starts at $45.00 **Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:** + Current Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). + Temporary Practice Permit (TPP). Graduate Nurses must complete the licensure examination within 4 months of hire _or_ within one year of graduation- whichever comes first. UPMC requires that GNs take the licensure examination within 4 months of their start date, or they will be terminated or demoted from the GN position, at the discretion of the BU. + UPMC-approved national certification is preferred. + NIH Certification will be required within 6 months of hire. + CPR is required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire. + Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). + Act 33, 34, and 73 with renewal. **UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer: Disability/Veteran**
