JOB SUMMARY
\nThe Member Services representative facilitates member satisfaction by proactively visiting with guests at the Baylor Tom Landry Fitness Center to ensure their needs are being met.
\nCandidates will provide a high level of personalized attention to members through personal service, conversation and consistent level of professionalism. Member Services Representatives will use effective conversation to help the member achieve their personal goals and feel safe/comfortable using the facility.
\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
\n\nPosition requires problem solving and conflict resolution techniques, following established policies and procedures, in order to resolve member complaints and address concerns. The work schedule for this position varies and includes evening and weekend shifts.\nAttend scheduled meetings and training workshops.\nPromote internal and external Fitness Center programs.\nMaintain a professional appearance through good personal hygiene, grooming and established dress code.\nAnticipate and fulfill member's needs related to the fitness floor.\nDistribute and organize water, towels, magazines/newspapers.\nMonitor and instruct members on the safe and effective usage of cardiovascular and durability training equipment and other fitness areas.\nAssist with equipment cleanliness and maintenance.\n\nKEY SUCCESS FACTORS
\n\nHigh school diploma required; at least one year of college or trade school preferred.\n0-3 months of customer service experience is required.\nMust possess a working knowledge of free weight, weight machines and cardio equipment.\nMust be fluent in English, bilingual a plus.\nExcellent customer service skills, including tact and diplomacy are required.\nProven ability to mediate in difficult and conflicting situations.\nMust be able to perform basic functions on a computer.\nCurrent CPR/AED certifications (may be provided through Baylor Tom Landry Fitness Center).\nWork requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.\n\nBENEFITS
