Descartes Learning Club is seeking passionate and engaging instructors to teach small-group math and logic enrichment classes for K–8 students. Our programs take place on weekday afternoons and weekends at school campuses and community locations across the San Francisco Bay Area.

We offer onsite (in-person) classes ranging from 1 to 2.5 hours, typically scheduled between 3:00 or 3:30 PM and 6:00 PM on weekdays, with additional opportunities on weekends. Most instructors teach 6–10 hours per week, depending on their availability. Class schedules vary by location. Our current teaching sites include:

San Francisco (our largest cluster, with many locations conveniently near BART or Muni)        Pacifica        Daly City        San Bruno        Menlo Park / Palo Alto        Portola Valley        Hayward

You can view our full list of locations here: www.descarteslearningclub.com/parents

We are looking for instructors who can teach in person at one or more of these locations, with availability on at least some weekday afternoons between 3–6 PM. A minimum commitment of one full semester is required, with a strong preference for candidates who can continue through the full academic year (excluding standard school breaks).

Our classes emphasize advanced problem-solving, logic, and mathematical thinking, and are designed to nurture curiosity, creativity, and confidence in young learners. Curriculum and paid training are provided.

This part-time, flexible role is ideal for:
