Part-Time Key Holder

About the Role:

The Part-Time Key Holder plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and secure operation of the business location during their shifts. This position involves opening and closing the store, managing cash handling procedures, and providing leadership support to the team in the absence of management. The key holder is responsible for maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for both customers and staff, while upholding company policies and standards. They act as a liaison between the management team and employees, helping to resolve issues and facilitate communication. Ultimately, the key holder contributes to the overall success of the business by supporting daily operations and delivering excellent customer service.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.Previous retail or customer service experience, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role.Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Basic cash handling and math skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management software.Prior experience as a key holder or assistant manager in a retail environment.Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and safety protocols.Ability to train and mentor team members effectively.Familiarity with local business regulations and compliance standards.

Responsibilities:

Open and close the store according to company procedures, ensuring security protocols are followed.Manage cash registers, perform cash handling duties, and prepare bank deposits accurately.Provide leadership and support to team members during shifts, assisting with training and conflict resolution.Maintain store cleanliness and organization to create a positive shopping environment.Assist customers by answering questions, resolving concerns, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs to management.Ensure compliance with all company policies, health and safety regulations, and loss prevention measures.
