Part-time Instructor: Digital Business Strategy
NYU Los Angeles is seeking a local, part-time lecturer to teach an undergraduate business marketing course, Digital Business Strategy under the sponsorship of the Leonard N. Stern School of Business. The course will take place in the academic center in the Fairfax/La Brea area of Los Angeles. The course is to be taught in-person in the Spring 2026 semester (January - May). The instructor role includes all preparation, delivery, and grading. Some administrative assistance is available to support the preparation of course materials. Courses are to be intellectually challenging in content and rigorous student assessment is required. Course Description Every industry, from entertainment to transportation, is being transformed by digital technology - whether they like it or not. This course will cover digital platforms in detail from a strategy and marketing perspective. The objectives will be to understand the following: how platforms function, their core underlying business principles, the unique challenges they face, and how platform-oriented companies can leverage their strengths to achieve success in the marketplace. These objectives will be achieved through a combination of readings, class discussions, case analysis and a group project. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching marketing courses at the undergraduate level within a degree-granting program.
