Job Summary: 

Six Flags Over Texas is looking for a Part Time Garage Mechanic to help maintain the vehicle fleet and mechanical equipment.

 

Specific Duties and Responsibility: Repair and maintain park vehicle fleet Repair and maintain park generators Repair and maintain small engines on various park equipment Perform mechanical inspections and repairs to rides Work with other departments to complete other duties as assigned Job Requirements: Must have experience in industrial or heavy equipment maintenance and repair procedures Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent Must be able to lift up to 50lbs Must have own basic hand tools          Must be able to climb and work at heights over 50 feet Must be able to work a varied schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays Must be able to work up to 39 hours per week Must have a strong eye for detail and safety in mind. Must work well with others Highly motivated, self-starter, and great time management skills required Must have a valid driver’s license, with a good driving record Welding and machine shop experience helpful
