We are looking for students who help us revolutionize the way the world moves in the future!  We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Co-op Intern to support the development of an innovative AI-driven tool that automates the generation of work instructions. This solution will leverage voice-to-text transcription, image, and video recognition APIs to accelerate documentation on the shop floor, reduce manual input, and improve training accuracy across our manufacturing operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about AI application development, Python programming, operations, supply chain, and hands-on innovation in a corporate manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and prototype a tool that converts spoken input into structured written work instructions using AI-powered transcription APIs 
• Integrate computer vision or image-tagging APIs to recommend or attach relevant images to instruction steps
• Collaborate with engineers, operators, and IT stakeholders to gather user requirements and validate real-world use cases
• Use Python to build workflows, APIs, and backend processes needed for AI integration and automation
• Conduct testing to evaluate transcription accuracy, image relevance, and overall usability in manufacturing contexts
• Document design decisions, development iterations, and implementation steps
• Present findings and demo solutions to stakeholders and digital transformation leadership

Required Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field
• Strong working knowledge of Python
• Familiarity with AI APIs, particularly speech-to-text and image recognition or tagging tools
• Strong analytical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently in a structured corporate setting
• Interest in manufacturing processes and industrial technology innovation

Preferred Qualifications:
• Exposure to OpenAI, AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure AI services
• Experience building prototypes or integrations using REST APIs
• Prior internship or project experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies or digital transformation initiatives

Locations:

You will have the opportunity to work at either our Fort Worth, TX or Pittsburgh, PA site.

This 10-week opportunity is set to begin on September 15, 2025.

Our hourly rates for fall co-ops range from $19 to $33/hr. The actual hourly rate is based on a matrix determined by your year in school/graduation year and your major. To qualify for the masters rate, you will be required to provide proof of your undergraduate degree and date of graduation as well as enrollment in an accredited university masters program for the fall 2026.
