The Part-Time Digital Content Coordinator leads the transition from broadcast focused newsrooms to multi-platform newsrooms through active daily example; providing training in methods, processes and tactics; as well as in creating/editing original content beyond that which is produced for on-air. Position Responsibilities: + - Maintains the look and feel of the station website by making sure the top stories are timely and relevant to our readers. + - Change the layout of the home page in rare, extremely impactful breaking news situations (i.e. major severe weather). + - Ensure the latest news video is featured on the website homepage. + - Responsible for various digital support tasks including clipping segments from the morning newscasts and assisting Good Day NWA with social media posts each day. + - Work with AM weather forecaster and digital meteorologist to ensure the most recent weather forecast is featured on the website homepage. + - Work with morning reporter to ensure their web story is posted in a timely manner each day. + - Schedule social media posts on station Facebook page using Social News Desk. + - Assist with video ingesting and scheduling for 479 First – primarily with uploading and programming Good Day NWA each day. But also being capable of adjusting the CTV schedule to cut in for live, breaking news coverage. + - Send a daily push alert encouraging people to tune in to the morning newscast. + - Assist with breaking news as necessary and sending mobile push alerts as needed. + - Performs other duties as assigned Requirements & Skills: + - Basic website management skills via WordPress. + - Basic understanding of Social News Desk for social media posting. + - Basic writing skills and a willingness to sharpen those skills. + - Ability to manage time wisely to ensure that necessary tasks are completed each day. + - Basic understanding of Akta and its built-in functions and a willingness to learn Cloud Playout Tool to help schedule and maintain 479 First. + -Maintain positive work environment through active team participation and cooperation with co-workers in all departments + · Responds positively to feedback Nexstar Media Group, Inc.
