Part-Time Dance Teacher (K-4) Elmwood Village Charter Schools 665 Hertel Avenue and 40 Days Park Buffalo , NY 14207 Certified - Area - Other Job Number 3300049691 Start Date Open Date 08/25/2025 Closing Date The Opportunity We are looking for a Part-Time Dance Teacher (Afternoons) + Teach Dance in Grades K-4. + Oversee the dance room facility, curriculum, and resources to create a student-centered environment + Build a classroom culture in which students love dance + Ut ilizes repertoire of all types of dance gendres, including traditional and contemporary, that are appropriate for the ages and skill levels of students. + Maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning by following the Responsive Classroom and Cooperative Discipline models + Engage students in the creative process and foster their talents, while deepening their knowledge and understanding of dance, dance concepts, dance history + Encourage students to express their own personalities and thoughts through the creative process + Plan and implement an end of year performance + Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and is age-appropriate + Set and maintain acceptable standards of classroom behavior to establish an orderly learning environment + Other duties as assigned Qualifications + Bachelor's degree + Certification in Dance Education preferred, but not required Our Mission The Elmwood Village Charter Schools provide a stimulating and engaging learning environment that recognizes student capability, fosters their connectedness to their immediate and broader communities, and offers them ways to contribute to school life.
