Position Title Part Time Assistant Golf Coach - Greenwood Lab School Work Location Springfield Campus Department Greenwood Lab School Pay Grade Unclassified Proposed Salary commensurate with experience Sponsorship Information Applicants must be currently authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States on a full-time basis. This position is not eligible for work visa sponsorship. General Function The Assistant Golf Coach supports the Head Golf Coach in the development, supervision, and leadership of the school’s golf program. This position assists with coaching student-athletes, organizing practices, managing team logistics, and ensuring a safe, inclusive, and positive environment. The assistant coach promotes skill development, sportsmanship, and academic accountability while representing the values and standards of Greenwood Laboratory School. Description of Primary Duties Assist the Head Coach in planning and conducting practices, training sessions, and team meetingsProvide individual and group instruction to support skill development and competitive performanceSupervise student-athletes during practices, competitions, and travelPromote teamwork, leadership, and good sportsmanship among all participantsAssist with scheduling, transportation, equipment management, and communication with familiesSupport the enforcement of team rules, school policies, and academic eligibility requirementsServe as a positive role model and mentor for student-athletesCommunicate effectively and professionally with students, staff, and parentsAttend all scheduled matches, tournaments, and team eventsPerform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or school administration Minimum Acceptable Qualifications Candidates must have at least 60 college credit hours, pass a background check, and do various MSHSAA certifications – prior playing/coaching experience is preferred.
