Description We are looking for a skilled Part Time Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. This role offers an exciting opportunity within the real estate industry and is structured as a Contract to permanent position. With a focus on managing financial transactions and ensuring accuracy, this position is ideal for candidates with a strong background in accounts receivable and real estate experience. Responsibilities: • Process and manage accounts receivable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate recording of payments. • Handle cash applications and oversee daily cash activity to maintain accurate financial records. • Manage commercial collections, including contacting clients to resolve outstanding balances. • Perform billing functions, ensuring invoices are prepared and sent in compliance with company policies. • Collaborate with internal teams to review and reconcile financial discrepancies. • Maintain organized records of financial transactions for audit and reporting purposes. • Provide regular updates on accounts receivable status and assist in improving collection processes. • Utilize industry-specific knowledge to address real estate-related financial matters effectively. • Support the team with ad hoc financial tasks as needed. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or related financial roles. • Strong knowledge of accounts receivable processes, including billing and collections. • Proficiency in cash applications and handling cash activity. • Familiarity with financial operations in the real estate industry is required. • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. • Effective communication skills for interaction with clients and internal teams. • Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently within a part-time schedule.
