Part-Time Accounts Payable Clerk
Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our clients team on a contract basis in Walnut Creek, California. In this role, you will provide essential support to the Accounting Department by handling accounts payable tasks, fostering vendor relationships, and ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a collaborative yet quiet office environment, working closely with the Accounts Payable Manager. This is a part-time position averaging 20 hours per week. Responsibilities: • Process accounts payable transactions for multiple entities and vendors, ensuring accuracy and compliance. • Audit invoices against purchase orders, identify discrepancies, and resolve vendor payment issues. • Utilize accounting software, including Yardi, to manage accounts payable workflows efficiently. • Enter and process payments for various properties within the organization. • Assist employees, vendors, and clients by addressing inquiries regarding accounts and procedures. • Analyze and optimize workflow processes to enhance efficiency. • Build and maintain strong relationships with current and new vendors. • Ensure timely payment of invoices and payroll while adhering to departmental protocols. • Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate financial records. • Compare purchase orders, pricing, and payment terms to ensure proper billing and documentation. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable and invoice processing. • Proficiency in data entry with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. • Familiarity with accounting software; experience with Yardi is a strong advantage. • Strong skills in account reconciliation and coding invoices. • Competency in Microsoft Excel for managing and analyzing financial data. • Ability to work effectively in a quiet, focused office environment. • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. • Strong communication skills for vendor and team interactions.
