Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Part-Time Accounts Assistant with experience using Xero accounting software. The successful candidate will support the finance team with day-to-day bookkeeping, accounts administration, and reporting tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to contribute to a growing business while maintaining a flexible work schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate financial records using XeroProcess invoices, receipts, and paymentsPerform bank reconciliationsAssist with payroll preparation and submissionsMonitor and manage accounts payable and receivablePrepare financial reports and summaries as requiredSupport monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial processesAssist with VAT returns and other statutory submissionsRespond to internal and external finance-related queriesMaintain and update financial files and documentationRequirements:
Proven experience working with Xero (minimum 1 year preferred)Previous experience in an accounts or bookkeeping roleStrong attention to detail and high level of accuracyGood knowledge of basic accounting principlesProficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applicationsExcellent organisational and time-management skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong written and verbal communication skillsDesirable:
AAT Level 2 or 3 (or working towards)Experience working in a small business or startup environmentFamiliarity with UK VAT and payroll processesBenefits:
