Part-Time Accounting Clerk
Description We are looking for a dedicated Accounting Clerk to join a client located in Mercer Island, Washington. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong background in accounts payable and data entry. The position offers an opportunity to showcase your organizational skills and attention to detail while contributing to key financial operations. This is a part-time role with an estimated 25-35 hours per week and is a fully in office position. Responsibilities: • Process accounts payable transactions, ensuring accurate data entry and timely reconciliation. • Manage invoice processing and verify supporting documentation for payment approvals. • Utilize QuickBooks to maintain financial records and track expenses with precision. • Collaborate with team members to streamline dual system operations and enhance efficiency. • Prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines in a high-pressure, fast-paced setting. • Communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and maintain workflow. • Take initiative to identify process improvements and implement innovative solutions. • Support billing processes, with experience in transportation or military household goods industries being a plus. • Maintain detailed and organized records to ensure compliance and audit readiness. • Assist with additional accounting tasks as needed to support the team's overall success. Requirements • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounts payable data entry and reconciliation. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial tracking and analysis. • Familiarity with QuickBooks for accounting operations is preferred. • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders. • Exceptional organizational abilities with a focus on prioritization and multitasking. • Keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all financial processes. • Ability to adapt to dual system operations and maintain productivity. • Previous experience in billing within the transportation or military household goods industries is advantageous.
