Description We are looking for a skilled Accounting Clerk for a contract position based in East Lansing, Michigan. The ideal candidate will excel in managing financial tasks such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing while maintaining accuracy in data entry and invoice processing. This role requires proficiency in financial software and tools to support the efficient operation of accounting functions. Responsibilities: • Process and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with accuracy. • Manage billing and invoice processing in a timely and organized manner. • Perform data entry tasks to maintain updated financial records. • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, and Oracle to streamline operations. • Prepare reports and summaries for financial analysis as requested. • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies. • Assist in resolving discrepancies in financial records and transactions. • Support the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements. • Collaborate with team members to improve accounting processes and systems. • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy when handling sensitive financial information. Requirements • Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles. • Proficiency in financial software such as Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, SAP, and Oracle. • Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation. • Ability to manage billing and invoice processing with attention to detail. • Excellent data entry skills and accuracy in record-keeping. • Strong organizational and time management abilities. • Effective communication skills for collaboration and reporting purposes. • Familiarity with financial regulations and standards.
