Job Description
As a Part Quality Engineer, you will collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and manage crisis situations during new model launches and model changes. You will be responsible for containment, investigation, and ensuring quality assurance processes are in place. You will also manage the SQMS database to track and address quality issues effectively.
ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and manage crisis situations.Conduct containment and investigations during new model launches and model changes.Utilize 8D, control plans, and APQP methodologies for quality assurance.Manage the SQMS database to track and address quality issues.Rotate between day and night shifts starting in 2023.Essential SkillsExperience with 8D, control plans, and APQP methodologies.Proficiency in managing SQMS database.Background in OEM and supplier quality engineering.Technical degree with over 3 years of experience in supplier/parts quality.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in automotive interiors is a plus.Proficiency in root cause analysis and supplier management.Experience with supplier development.Work Environment
The position is within an OEM environment and requires local travel to supplier sites. The role involves rotating shifts between day and night
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $39.50 - $55.00/hr.
