Paraplanning Team Leader
Purpose of the Role

As a Paraplanner, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our Financial Planning Consultants by delivering high-quality technical support and maintaining strong relationships with clients. You’ll be responsible for preparing professional reports, conducting research, and ensuring our advice and documentation meet regulatory standards. This is a dynamic role that combines technical expertise, client interaction, and team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities Prepare and deliver client reports and annual reviews to a professional standard. Implement consultant requests efficiently and accurately. Gather and record client data using Intelligent Office. Communicate effectively with clients and third parties, both in person and remotely. Collaborate closely with administrative support to ensure smooth operations. Manage and prioritise your own workload and support the wider Paraplanning team. Work with the Head of Paraplanning to ensure team efficiency and provide cover when needed. Maintain and improve technical support processes and documentation. Conduct product-based research to support financial planning recommendations. Ensure compliance with FCA regulations and internal policies, including AML requirements. Support the collection and reporting of management information (MI). Promote a culture of diligence, professionalism, and continuous improvement. Undertake ongoing professional development and maintain appropriate status within the T&C regime. Mentor junior team members and contribute to their development. Skills & Experience Strong technical knowledge across all areas of financial planning. Proficient in financial planning tools and modelling software (e.g., Voyant). Excellent interpersonal skills to build client trust and confidence. Clear and effective communicator, both written and verbal. Highly organised with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively. Proactive, self-motivated, and adaptable to changing priorities. Skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Qualifications Degree or equivalent tertiary education preferred. Minimum CII Level 4 qualified or equivalent industry experience. At least 3 years of experience in Paraplanning, ideally supporting High Net Worth clients.
