Description A well-established Registered Investment Advisory firm with approximately $500 million in assets under management is seeking a Financial Planning Associate to join its collaborative and client-focused team. Position Overview: This role is ideal for someone passionate about personal finance and committed to helping clients achieve financial wellness. The ideal candidate is either enrolled in, completed, or ready to begin a financial planning certification program and is seeking hands-on experience in a respected wealth management firm. You’ll work closely with advisors and planners, participate in client meetings, and contribute to the development of financial strategies. Key Responsibilities: + Schedule and prepare for client meetings, gathering and entering financial data. + Communicate clearly and empathetically with clients to collect necessary information. + Maintain and update financial plans using planning software and spreadsheets. + Ensure client records are complete, organized, and secure. + Document progress and tasks in CRM software for team visibility. + Collaborate with advisors to review and refine financial strategies. + Conduct research on client-specific issues and present findings to the team. + Manage multiple client plans with precision and attention to detail. + Support the planning team in meeting annual goals and deadlines. + Help develop and maintain financial planning processes and documentation. + Interface with internal and external professionals to support client needs. + Assist with financial planning-related projects and provide general support to advisors. Requirements Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. + Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in an office setting. + Prior experience or education in financial planning or services (e.g., CFP® coursework). + Strong verbal and written communication skills. + Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. + Experience with MoneyGuidePro or MoneyGuideElite preferred. + Familiarity with CRM systems (Tamarac CRM strongly preferred). + Knowledge of tools such as Holistiplan, fpPathfinder, Schwab Advisor Center, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom is a plus. + Highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented. + Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to learn. + Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills. + Ability to work independently and collaboratively. + Discretion and trustworthiness with confidential information.
