Get to Know Your Team: BSA provides 24-hour paramedic care through our ambulance service, which responds to emergencies in Canyon and 825 square miles of Randall County. BSA EMS staffs two stations 24/7/365, one in northern Randall County and one in Canyon. Responsibilities Primarily responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the EMS Division of the Paramedicine Services Department. Responsible for payroll, disaster planning, and assisting with billing and electronic medical record management as needed. Enforce staff compliance with established protocols; BSA Health System Policies and Department Standard Operating Guidelines, including disciplinary actions against employees. Responsible for all functions, duties, equipment, and staff of the Paramedicine Services Department in the absence of the Director. Responsible for overseeing the department’s Patient Care and System Improvement (PCSI) Program, Continuing Education Program, and Field Training Program. Responsible for providing emergency care and transportation of the sick and injured in accordance with established BSA Health System Policies, Department Guidelines, and Patient Care Protocols. Safely operates emergency vehicles in compliance with all laws, BSA Policies, and Department Guidelines. Accepts other tasks as assigned by the Director. Qualifications Job Requirements: Certification or licensure as a paramedic or licensed paramedic by the Texas Department of State Health Services. American Heart Association Healthcare Provider completion. Valid minimum Class C Texas Driver's License with restriction “A” permissible. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) completion within 80 days of employment. Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) completion within 80 days of employment. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals (PEPP) completion within 80 days of employment. Completion of the following Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency National Incident Management System (NIMS) courses: IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, IS-800.A is required within 80 days of employment. Preferred Job Requirements: 9-1-1 field experience. National Registry. Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS). Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP). Critical Care Emergency Medical Transport Program (CCEMTP).
