A brand-new Ambulance Bay and Emergency Department are set to open in late summer, complete with an on-site Ambulance Garage to support expanded services.** **Summary:** + Provides pre-hospital care per established protocols under the direction of the medical director + Assist with patient care in the Emergency Department within established guidelines/policies, within other hospital departments as priorities allow, and with special projects as assigned + Provides direct patient care during transport of patients and guided by protocols or direct medical control + Delivers care to patients of all ages and includes inpatient, outpatients, and those at offsite locations **Requirements:** + Iowa EMS certification level of Paramedic, Critical Care Paramedic, or RN Equivalent with critical care practice + Valid Iowa Drivers License + BLS, ACLS, PALS, PHTLS or TNCC, AMLS, Hazmat Ops, ICS 100, 200, 700 and 800, NCI or willing to obtain within 6 months after hire + 2 years critical care or EMS experience preferred + Critical Care endorsement preferred **Schedule:** + **Full-time, 60 hours per pay period** + 12 hr day/night shifts + Variable 2-3 shifts per week + Holiday rotation **Spencer Hospital is a rural** **hospital located** **in northwest Iowa employing over 500+ employees.
