Paralegal (Labor/Employment Law or Litigation)
**About the Team** The Labor and Employment Legal team for Western and Southern Europe is a group of experienced and dedicated legal professionals who provide strategic legal advice and counsel involving the rights of employees, responsibilities of employers, and distinctions between employees and independent contractors. Our work includes all Western and Southern Europe employment litigations, labor disputes, independent contractor reclassification claims, as well as providing advice, counsel and training to Uber on employment law compliance and dispute avoidance. **About the Role** At Uber, we pride ourselves on the amazing team we've built. This addition to our team must be organized, experienced, proactive, collaborative, and willing to take on the responsibilities necessary to make things happen. This role will report to the Employment Legal Director for Western and Southern Europe , Employment Legal, and will be based at Uber’s headquarters in Paris (France). **What You'll Do** 1\. Team: Support a team of 5 lawyers across various european markets (focus on France, Switzerland, Belgium, Portugal, Spain and Germany for now but can evolve) 2\. Legal support: Drafting and review of legal documents, research and monitoring of legal developments 3\. Litigation/audit/investigation support: 4\. Provide litigation support through preparation of files, collection of supporting documents, monitoring of procedures, supplying of data storage databases.Build, mproveme and keep up to date litigation trackers 5\. Interaction with internal clients, outside counsels and other stakeholders. 6\. Manage day-to-day calendaring/docketing of litigation calendar 7\. Administrative support: Organization of files, monitoring of deadlines and implementation of legal tools 8\. Draft correspondence and assist in special ad-hoc projects 9\. Participate in team meetings **Basic Qualifications** 1\. Minimum of 4 years as a litigation or employment law legal assistant, paralegal or counsel 2\. Fluent at least in French and English **Preferred Qualifications** 1\. Strong legal writing skills 2\. Paralegal certificate, or completed law school 3\. Strong understanding of litigation process 4\. Highly motivated, efficient, organized, and laser-focused on the details 5\. Able to juggle multiple projects at a time in a fast-paced environment 6\. Comfortable collaborating as a team and working independently to get the job done, no matter how big or small the project 7\. Calm in deadline-driven situations; self-reliant and able to prioritize workload 8\. Have excellent written and verbal communication skills 9\.
