Description We are looking for an experienced Paralegal to join our team on a contract basis in West Palm Beach, Florida. This role requires a highly organized individual with a strong background in commercial litigation and familiarity with state and federal court procedures. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating exceptional organizational and communication skills. Responsibilities: • Manage case files and maintain accurate documentation using case management software. • Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials. • Coordinate trial preparation activities, ensuring all necessary materials are organized and deadlines are met. • Handle e-filing processes for both state and federal courts. • Conduct legal research and compile information relevant to ongoing cases. • Manage billing functions and ensure accurate tracking of billable hours. • Maintain calendars and schedule appointments, hearings, and deadlines. • Communicate effectively with attorneys, clients, and court officials. • Assist in discovery processes, including collecting and organizing evidence. • Provide support during trials, ensuring smooth execution of all logistical aspects. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Paralegal, preferably in commercial litigation. • Proficiency in case management software and e-filing systems. • Strong understanding of state and federal court procedures. • Experience drafting legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery. • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills. • Ability to handle billing functions and track billable hours accurately. • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. • Familiarity with trial preparation and discovery processes.
