Description We are looking for an experienced Paralegal to join our team on a contract basis in Houston, Texas. This role requires a highly organized individual with strong expertise in legal drafting and discovery processes. Responsibilities: • Prepare and draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and orders, with precision and accuracy. • Manage discovery processes by drafting requests, responses, and objections in compliance with legal standards. • Conduct thorough research and analysis to support case strategies and legal arguments. • Collaborate with attorneys to ensure all legal documentation aligns with case objectives. • Review and organize case files, ensuring all necessary information is readily accessible. • Communicate effectively with clients and legal professionals to gather essential case details. • Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive legal matters. • Adapt quickly to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Utilize strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases simultaneously. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in family law. • Proficiency in drafting legal documents such as motions, pleadings, and discovery responses. • Fluent in Spanish, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Strong knowledge of discovery processes, including requests, responses, and objections. • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and team members. • Familiarity with legal research tools and case management systems. • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
