Description We are looking for an experienced Paralegal to join our legal team in Tallahassee, Florida. This is a long-term contract position requiring someone with strong attention to detail and expertise in legal research, document formatting, and case management. The ideal candidate will be skilled in handling discovery processes, preparing legal documents, and supporting litigation efforts. Responsibilities: • Conduct legal research using Westlaw and other tools to provide accurate and timely information. • Prepare and format legal documents, ensuring compliance with proper citation standards. • Manage discovery processes, including drafting responses and organizing requests. • Handle e-filing in Florida State Court and coordinate document printing with external vendors. • Apply bate stamping techniques to legal documents as needed. • Assist with trial preparation and civil litigation tasks, ensuring all materials are ready and organized. • Update specialized chapters in legal publications, such as Eminent Domain in the Florida Bar. • Complete specialty forms related to Eminent Domain based on provided information. • Collaborate with attorneys to ensure all case management tasks are completed efficiently. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal or in a similar legal support role. • Proficiency in Westlaw and familiarity with NetDocuments is highly preferred. • Strong command of Microsoft Word, including advanced formatting capabilities. • Ability to manage civil litigation tasks and trial preparation effectively. • Experience with e-filing processes in Florida State Court. • Attention to detail and accuracy in legal citations and document handling. • Knowledge of discovery procedures and related legal workflows. • Familiarity with Eminent Domain forms and processes is a plus.
