Description Robert Half is working with a respected insurance defense firm in Emeryville seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled paralegal to contribute to complex defense cases while building a long-term career with a dynamic legal team. Key Responsibilities + Draft, review, and respond to discovery requests + Assist with trial preparation, including exhibit binders, witness coordination, and trial notebooks + Conduct legal and factual research to support defense strategies + Summarize depositions, medical records, and expert reports + Manage case calendars, deadlines, and filings (state and federal courts) + Provide comprehensive litigation support through trial and resolution Requirements + 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience; insurance defense background highly preferred + Strong understanding of discovery, trial preparation, and case management + Proficiency with legal software and e-filing systems + Excellent research, writing, and organizational skills + Ability to work hybrid in Emeryville (onsite several days per week) + Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate preferred Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
