Description We are looking for an experienced Paralegal to join our law firm client's Civil Litigation Department in Fairfax, Virginia. This role offers a dynamic opportunity to contribute to a boutique law firm's mission of providing legal protection and security to families and businesses. Responsibilities: • Support the litigation process by drafting pleadings, preparing court filings, and assisting with discovery. • Manage client relations, ensuring consistent communication and timely updates on case progress. • Coordinate with vendors such as process servers, court reporters, and others to facilitate case requirements. • Oversee legal assistants, delegating tasks effectively and supervising their work to maintain quality standards. • Track deadlines and manage caseloads to ensure all tasks are completed promptly and accurately. • Maintain organizational systems for case files and documents, ensuring accessibility and accuracy. • Collaborate with attorneys to prepare for trial, including creating trial binders and assisting with strategy. • Work within Virginia Circuit Court and General District Court procedures to ensure compliance. • Utilize case management software to streamline workflows and maintain case data. • Foster a supportive team environment, contributing to a positive workplace culture. Requirements • Demonstrated experience in civil litigation and familiarity with Virginia court procedures. • Proven ability to draft pleadings, manage discovery, and prepare court filings. • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, including impeccable spelling and grammar. • Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat. • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, multitask, and exercise sound judgment. • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build genuine connections with clients and team members. • Experience with case management software and willingness to learn new technology. • Self-driven and highly organized, with the ability to meet high standards for work quality.
