Description We are looking for a skilled Paralegal to join our team on a contract basis in Washington, District of Columbia. This role involves supporting real estate transactional and litigation matters, requiring meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Responsibilities: • Conduct thorough research and analysis related to real estate transactional and litigation matters. • Prepare and organize legal documentation, including discovery materials, pleadings, and trial exhibits. • Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including assembling case files and coordinating logistics. • Manage case files using case management software to ensure accurate and up-to-date records. • Facilitate communication between clients, attorneys, and other parties involved in legal proceedings. • Monitor deadlines and ensure compliance with court requirements and procedural guidelines. • Provide administrative support during litigation processes, including scheduling and correspondence. • Collaborate with attorneys to develop strategies and arguments for cases. • Review and summarize legal documents to support case development and decision-making. Requirements • Proven experience as a paralegal with a focus on civil litigation and trial preparation. • Proficiency in discovery processes and managing associated documentation. • Familiarity with case management software and its application in legal workflows. • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective client and team interactions. • Knowledge of real estate law and legal procedures is highly preferred. • Ability to work independently while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines. • Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field, or equivalent certification.
