Description Are you a skilled paralegal with a passion for family law? Robert Half is seeking a dedicated Paralegal to join a thriving legal practice that specializes in family law cases. This role will provide you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to cases involving divorce, custody, support, and other family-related matters in a fast-paced and rewarding environment. Responsibilities: + Assist attorneys with legal research, preparation of pleadings, motions, briefs, and other court filings specific to family law cases. + Draft legal correspondence, including child custody agreements, divorce decrees, and prenuptial agreements. + Manage case calendars, including deadlines for filing, court appearances, and hearings. + Support discovery efforts by organizing and maintaining case files, gathering documents, and preparing responses to requests for information. + Conduct legal research and assist in the preparation of trial materials for family law cases. + Communicate effectively with clients, ensuring sensitive family matters are handled with professionalism and empathy. + Maintain accurate timekeeping and billing records. + Stay updated on jurisdictional procedures and statutes related to family law. Requirements + Experience: 2+ years of paralegal experience, preferably in family law. + Skills: + In-depth knowledge of family law processes, terminology, and documentation. + Proficiency in legal research databases (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis). + Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. + Strong written and verbal communication skills. + Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities effectively.
