Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Corporate Paralegal to join our team on a contract basis in Huntersville, North Carolina. This role involves managing licensing functions, ensuring compliance with regulations, and coordinating with various stakeholders to address licensing and certification needs. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in regulatory research, renewals, acquisitions, and compliance.
Responsibilities:
• Handle licensing and renewal tasks, including business, contractor, gaming, and tribal licenses.
• Investigate and resolve licensing issues, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and company policies.
• Utilize local, state, and federal online databases to manage licensing processes.
• Maintain comprehensive records of licenses, including status updates and resolutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet organizational objectives.
• Monitor changes in licensing regulations and implement necessary adjustments.
• Address licensing challenges related to acquisitions and new licensing applications.
• Communicate effectively with external entities such as government agencies at local, state, and federal levels.
• Review and interpret codes, statutes, and regulations to ensure proper compliance.
• Uphold company policies and regulatory requirements in all licensing activities.
Requirements • Proven ability to solve moderately complex licensing-related problems.
• Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Pro, and online collaboration tools such as Teams.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Solid interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
• Associate degree, Paralegal certificate, or 1-3 years of relevant experience in licensing preferred.
• Familiarity with regulatory research, licensing agreements, renewals, acquisitions, and compliance processes.
