Description We are looking for an experienced Paralegal to join our team in Lexington, Kentucky. In this role, you will provide critical support to attorneys in personal injury litigation, ensuring cases are prepared efficiently and effectively for trial. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a thorough understanding of civil litigation, and the ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: • Prepare, draft, and e-file court documents such as pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and demand letters in compliance with court requirements. • Maintain consistent communication with clients, attorneys, and external parties throughout the case lifecycle. • Track case progress by monitoring deadlines, outstanding records, and litigation schedules. • Assist with trial preparation, including creating exhibit lists, assembling trial binders, coordinating with witnesses, and managing courtroom logistics. • Organize and maintain detailed case files using the firm's legal case management software. • Request, review, and analyze medical records, bills, and insurance documents to support case development. • Collaborate with experts and third-party vendors to gather necessary case information. • Ensure compliance with Kentucky civil rules and procedures in all legal tasks. • Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys during all stages of litigation. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal in a plaintiff’s personal injury practice. • Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate is required. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and legal case management software. • Strong knowledge of Kentucky civil litigation rules and personal injury law. • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills with the ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Proven ability to work effectively with attorneys, clients, and other legal professionals. • Experience in trial preparation and familiarity with courtroom procedures.
