Description We are looking for a skilled Paralegal to join a respected insurance defense firm in Atlanta, Georgia. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to support dynamic legal teams and contribute to high-stakes litigation cases. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in litigation and the ability to manage complex cases from inception to trial. Responsibilities: • Draft and prepare litigation documents, including pleadings, discovery materials, and trial-related paperwork. • Conduct E-filing in state and federal courts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with court regulations. • Organize and oversee discovery processes, including document collection, review, and production. • Assist attorneys in trial preparation, including creating witness lists, assembling exhibits, and compiling trial notebooks. • Maintain and manage case files, deadlines, and schedules to ensure smooth workflow. • Track and record billable hours, meeting the daily requirement of seven billable hours. • Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to prioritize and execute tasks effectively. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably within a defense firm. • Comprehensive knowledge of Georgia court rules and legal procedures. • Proficiency in E-filing systems and case management software. • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills. • Experience in plaintiff-side litigation will be considered for candidates with exceptional qualifications. • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
