Paralegal, Revenue Contracts

The Paralegal will assist the Revenue Contracts legal staff and attorneys with a variety of projects on an as-needed basis and assist with contract management and records maintenance on a regular basis. This position will report to an attorney or Sr. Paralegal in the Legal Department but will take direction from multiple legal staff and attorneys in the Nashville office.

         

Principal Responsibilities:
 

Perform a variety of Revenue Contract administrative duties.Maintain Revenue Contract files in a variety of electronic databases that serve as repositories for all matters handled by the Revenue Contracts team.Assist Revenue Contracts team in responding to outside requests for information.Assist attorneys as needed in their day-to-day activities, including general administrative support and research, as required by business and legal needs.Maintain contract files and other company records.Perform contract review and analysis with attorney supervision.Data and records management.Utilize a variety of automated legal research tools as well as public information databases and other automated resources to research specific legal matters.Field and respond to document retrieval requests and research projects from internal clients.Perform other duties as assigned in response to changing business conditions and/or requirements.

Qualifications:
 

Undergraduate degree with strong academic background. Paralegal certification preferred, but will consider comparable experience in lieu of certification.Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a paralegal in a top law firm and/or large company setting (both preferred). At least one year of corporate paralegal experience.Knowledge of SharePoint or other document management system including metadata and hierarchical taxonomies preferred.Expert skills in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint/Outlook) required.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Superior attention to detail, proofreading skills and problem solving capabilities.Strong follow-up skills; ability to organize applicable department timelines and follow up with internal and external customer needs.Must show initiative and be willing to take ownership of projects.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize effectively, be flexible and work in a fast-paced, demanding environment with minimal supervision and rapidly shifting priorities.Experience with drafting contracts, legal memoranda and other legal documents.Experience with corporate secretary and corporate organizational matters a plus.Ability to perform legal research in LexisNexis and/or Westlaw.Knowledge of legal terminology required.
